Cantaloupe/Musk Melon Juice

This time for Blog Hop-Wednesday#15 , i am paired with Kokila of Foodies Nest.. There are many interesting dishes out there and i zeroed down on two things.. One was a date & nuts burfi and the other was this juice..Every time we buy musk melon, we chop them into small pieces, add sugar & refrigerate and then enjoy the fruit..But, i have never tasted it as a juice..so thought i should do this!

This fruit is perfect for the summer & is known for its cooling properties.. ITs believed to be rich in Vitamin C and potassium.. Here comes the best part...with just 53 calories, it makes the perfect replacement for a sinful desert right :D

Ingredients
1. Cantaloupe/Musk Melon - 1/2 of the fruit
2. Milk - 1/3 cup
3. Sugar - 2tbsp

Preparation Time!!
This is the easiest to make. Put all the ingredients in a blender & the frothy juice is ready!!
Kokila had added whipping cream & honey!  I was quite tempted to add the cream, but thought will maintain it as healthy as it can be :)..

No doubt its always better to have fruits over juices... but once in a while, its okie i guess! This chilled drink is refreshing & the color most appealing!!

Serving : 1.5 glasses
Duration : 15 minutes

Sending it to Blog Hop Wednesdays, Surabhi's Beat the Heat, Kalyani's Kitchen Chronicles hosted by Sangee and Ramya's Fruit Fiesta

  25. I love cantaloupe..especially the delicate fruity fragrance. We too usually eat the fruit with a little sugar sprinkled over it and then drink the juice in the bottom of the bowl! I would love to have it as a drink too. I am still waiting for this summer fruit to arrive in the supermarkets here.
